Description
Arizona Mountain Kingsnake for sale, sometimes known as the Arizona Black Mountain Kingsnake, is a non-venomous colubrid snake native to the American Southwest and northern Mexico. They vary in color and pattern, but are usually black with red or orange bands. The bands might be large or thin, with white or black borders.
Arizona Mountain Kingsnakes are modest, with average lengths of 2-3 feet (0.6-0.9 meters). They are mostly active during the day and prey on lizards, snakes, and rodents. They are found in rocky, mountainous environments and are frequently spotted basking on rocks or hiding in cracks.
Arizona Mountain Kingsnakes need a suitable habitat with the right temperature, humidity, and hiding spots when kept in captivity. A diversified diet of rats or lizards of the proper size is also required by the critters. They make excellent pets for knowledgeable snake keepers because they are typically hardy and simple to care for.
It’s important to note that the deadly Coral Snake, which has a similar red and black banding pattern, can occasionally be mistaken for Arizona Mountain Kingsnakes. However, there is a proverb that can be used to tell them apart: “Red on yellow, murder a fellow. “Red on black, Jack’s friend.” The red and black bands of the Arizona Mountain Kingsnake touch, whereas the red and yellow bands of the Coral Snake do.
