Description
Parson’s Chameleon for sale is one of the world’s largest chameleons. It is usually green and is exclusively found in Madagascar. The Parson’s chameleon was named after famous British physician James Parsons by French scientist Georges Baron de Cuvier. Calumma p. parsonii is the most common subspecies, and Calumma p. cristifer is the rarest. This kind of chameleon is also quite popular as a pet. It is one of the few chameleon species that can be lawfully exported.
This chameleon enjoys hot and humid habitats, especially tropical rainforests. However, they have recently been discovered to adjust in cooler regions. These lizards have also adapted to human settlements, most notably in coffee plantations.
They are omnivores, eating plants, insects, and some small birds. They thrive for long, males surviving for about 9 years and females for 8 years. The longest lifespan recorded has been 12 years in the wild and 14 years in captivity.
