Description
Baby Scaleless Het Caramel Cornsnake have less scales than typical corn snakes. This is a recessive gene mutation. Some have a few scales down their backs and flanks, while others have nearly none. If they have scales, they may form a line down their back. Despite the fact that they lack scales, their skin retains its color. Their pattern, which is on their skin rather than their scales, may still be seen.
Given that scaleless rat snakes have been found in the wild, it is thought that the first-ever scaleless corn snake is the offspring of a hybrid between a Texan rat snake and another species. All scaleless corn snakes still have belly scales (ventral scales). This is crucial as these scales protect the snake as it slithers on the ground. A scaleless corn snake’s skin is smooth, just as its scales would be but, in sections where it coils, its skin wrinkles up. It can be bred to create designer morphs like scaleless albinos and scaleless palmettoes. Baby Scaleless Het Caramel Cornsnake for sale
