Biak Blue Tongue Skinks are medium-sized lizards that can reach lengths of 18-24 inches. They have a striking blue tongue that they employ to frighten off predators. Their bodies are covered in scales that range in hue from brown to gray to black and have uneven patterns of lighter patches or bands.

Biak Blue Tongue Skinks demand a large enclosure with a basking spot and a colder area. They require a temperature range of 75-85°F (24-29°C) during the day and 70-75°F (21-24°C) at night. They also need a UVB light to simulate natural sunshine. Biak Blue Tongue Skinks are omnivores that can be fed insects, fruits, vegetables, and commercially available reptile diets.
